MATT CROWHURST LAUNCHES PRO MODEL
 
O’Brien has announced the launch of a new Pro model, based on none other than our very own Matt Crowhurst.
Fourteen years in the game and Matt is still going strong. Having started his career on the European Tour in ’96, taking away the first ever Junior tour title and a place on the podium in the Pro Men division, his life on a wakeboard had begun. European titles, national titles and innovation followed, being one of the first in the country to really push rail riding and wakeskating in the country. Matt still competes, teaches, works behind the scenes at events and is generally up to his eyeballs in Wakeboarding and the greater Action Sports world in the UK.
 
This longevity at the top of Wakeboarding is only matched by the time he has been on board with some of the biggest brands in the industry and it’s O’Brien who are capitalising on this in 2010. The O’Brien Valhalla MC will be the first European Signature O’Brien model and Matt’s boards (Impact base only in 138 and 143) will be hitting the UK shelves in July in limited numbers. The Valhalla has long been one of the top market sellers. The brand first saw the importance of rail riding and hitting obstacles back in 2002, and O’Brien’s Impact base is the only choice for jibbing on the water, as proven by the many concrete and brick grinding sessions across the weirs, canals and winching wonders across the UK. Add to this the bespoke ‘MC’ wallpaper print and Relentless branding and you have yourself a fine piece of kit in short supply!
