Its been a long week since i returned to the UK after working on the US Alliance mag. In that time we have designed a whole magazine and i have just signed off with the printers ready for them to start the presses, or whatever it is they do in the digital age? We'll tell you more about the next and last issue for 2008 soon, but all i'm gonna say right now is 'New'. I'm gonna try and shake this jet lag now, and make a note to never book an international overnight flight for the same week as a deadline. Night night!
Rail Masters by Tim 6/11/08
That time has come again my friends; I smoked a cigarette and drank a can of Relentless for the first time since Newquay! This is my diet for pool gap builds and I started today. I am not in Earls Court yet but I have been up at our barns preparing the rails and pool gap for the Rail Masters. The rider invites have gone out and we will be posting a ton of details about the event at the start of next week. So check back Monday to see how you can get free tickets.

Happy Halloween! by sim 31/10/08
I seriously can not believe how big of a deal Oct 31st is in the USA. People are freaking out, the whole state California is decorated and if you don't show up at work without a costume you will be lynched - no lie. I'm sitting here as Sid Vicious and getting into character by hammering 'Not Beers' at 10:30am, so when everyone arrives for the official Alliance office party at 2pm I'll be ready to bro-down. If i can still figure out how to use my camera by then i'll report back. Have a great night if you're going out and send us your photos to sim@alliancewake.co.uk
I Will Not Be Beaten by Tim 27/10/08
The clocks have gone back and the bonus of getting an extra hour in bed yesterday has long faded and we are left with the prospect of it being dark when we finish work. No longer can we go for a quick little ride after work! Instead we are going to have be very cunning, its all about coming up with elaborate and believable excuses why not to be in work, and then going riding. So get your thinking caps on because the early nights are not going to beat me!
Raging in Carlsbad by sim 24/10/08
As you know I'm in California right now, and sadly tonight is US Alliance Editor, Garrett Cortese's last night before flying back to Florida in the morning. But the guys out here don't let anyone escape easily, and right now Garrett's loading up on Vitamin Water in anticipation of the carnage that is about to commence. The guys from Liquid Force have some plans, which given their love of Bro'n down and beer bongs, has got me slightly worried too, because while tonight is for Garrett really, I don't think they're gonna let the new guy off easily. I'm stocking up on Advil after work.
Cold? by sim 20/10/08
Ordinarily i'm not one for showing off or gloating, but after reading Tim's blog while sat here in the glorious california sunshine after a round of golf about to head out for a surf in just shorts, i'll make an exception! But sadly i'm not here on holiday, i'm here working on the 2009 gear guide issue, and boy is it a big job. My first week is mostly gonna be made up of phoning companies trying to get info from them, then calling three more times over the week because they still haven't sent us the text or photos. But hey, at least there's surfing in between the phone calls! I'm still pissed i didn't get to drive the Westfield car, but in the grand scheme of things, i think i got a better deal than Timmy - enjoy the frost dude!
Its Gone Super Cold by Tim 20/10/08
I went for a wakeskate on Sunday on the River Lune in Lancaster and came to the decision that it is extremely cold! The water was cold, the air temperature was cold and I was cold. Driving the jetski involved looking like you were on an expedition to the North Pole and the thickest of winter suits had come out of storage. I have been wake skating quite a lot recently and I am gutted the season is coming to an end because I have never been so keen to keep riding, hurry up global warming!
Whoops by Tim 17/10/08
I can’t believe I posted an article this morning about how great it is to drive fast, and then proceeded to get 3 more points on my driving license this evening. What a pain in the ass!
What its all About by Tim 09/10/08
I just had a weekend away on an island on Loch Lomond and it reminded me just what this sport’s all about. A tonne of good friends, several tonnes of booze, a winch, a jetski, a Wakesetter, a huge log cabin and an island to inflict mayhem on. In short my weekend away pretty much defined my view of Wakeboarding. I would do an article about it but I had too much fun to take any pictures, so sorry about that!
