Wakestock Abu Dhabi by sim 6/3/10
Yeah yeah I know, and i'm really sorry, but things over here in Abu Dhabi have been hectic to say the least! The whole Wakestock event has been unbelievable, a really unique and fantastic experience. We've got a load of videos and photos ready to load, but the bandwidth on our internet connection simply isn't having it. We fly back to the land of fish, chips and 16mb broadband tomorrow night, so be ready for full updates throughout next week. But until then I can guarantee you that it's been a blast!
Print Process by sim 19/2/10
I'm getting ready to go to our printers tonight to sign off proofs of the new 2010.1 issue, and I am pretty excited. It will be cool to see how everything happens between leaving my Mac and coming back a week later in a tidy 100-page book. It might be more fun if the printing didn't start at 2am on a Friday night, or saturday morning depending on how you look at it, but should still be cool all the same. Look out for the new issue hitting shops next weekend.

Over the winter we were talking about redesigning the Alliance website, but when we started thinking about it there didn't seem much point; we realised we're all happy with the site and how it works, so why change something good at the risk of making it worse? So instead we've given the old girl a fresh facelift and a bright new look instead. So you can still enjoy the same photos, videos, news, reviews and content that we've always offered, but now with enhanced orange and turquoise! We hope you like the new look, now go & check out the new articles and videos from our recent trip to the special desert, complete with water and millionaires. Enjoy!

If you're wondering where the first issue for 2010 is, well you don't have much longer to wait. We are working hard to get all of the artwork together and get all the stats and figures for the Gear Guide so you can make an informed choice on what kit you'll be rocking this summer. We've also for the Rider Of The Year 2009 interview, and the results of the Alliance Photography Contest from last year. The mag will be out at the end of this month, so only a few more weeks to wait!

We've been secretly working alongside Sensation Group for a while on something big, and now we're excited to announce that Wakestock is going international! On March 4-6 this year the worlds best wake/music festival will be on the sun-soaked beaches of Abu Dhabi. As part of our association with the event we will be going out in 2-weeks for the official launch and to check out the contest site, so make sure to check the website in early Feb' for sneak peaks into what will undoubtably be the most glamorous wakeboard contest the world has ever seen. Right now we're working franticly to put together the Gear Guide issue for next month, while organising three big events, planning trips for issue 2010.2 and re-designing the look of the website, and things have gone far beyond hectic. My head is about to explode from an overdose of RRP's.

It is snowing AGAIN in london today, and we're yet to see whether the country has come to a grinding halt. So with this crazy weather we've had over the past month you must have been out playing in the white stuff, I have been! So we want you to share you're snow-day-shenanigans with us by emailing some photos and a short paragraph of text about you and your friends playing around. Did you winch through the snow, ride wakeskates down a hill or go ice skating on your local riding spot?
