Cable Worlds by sim 19/7/10
Congratulations to Nick Davies and Kirsteen Mitchell who are now World Cable Wakeboarding Champions. The entire UK team killed it all week taking overall team gold as well, and other medals include Dec Clifford in 3rd place Jr Men, Daniel Grant and Freddie Carter came 1st and 3rd respectively in Boys, and Chloe Goudie won the Girls division. Hard Day At The Office by sim 25/6/10
Today I have to drive across the country to take some photos for future issues of the magazine. That means 5-hours in the car on a scorching hot day stitting in traffic. As bad as this sounds, the photo shoot is with some of the Northern Monkeys, a great bunch of people i'm proud to call my friends, so it's gonna be really tough wakeskating with them at the Costa Del Haverigg for a couple of days! Work's a bitch, but someone's gotta do it. (PS: Wakestock is in 1 week!)
2010.3 Is Coming by sim 15/6/10
It's all go here at A-UK, we're working hard to put together the new issue of Alliance, and I don't mind telling you it's gonna be a corker! The photos are looking great, the features are even better, in fact it's gonna be so good that we're having to print more pages in the issue, and thousands more copies to cope with the demand! So i just wanted to let you know things will be a little slow online while we franticly tap away at keyboards and make things look pretty on the artwork, but we'll be back next week in the run-up to Relentless Wakestock... only 18 days!
Wakestock & Wakestock by sim 12/6/10
Today marks the start of a countdown to the biggest wake-weekend the UK has to offer, as LDB Wake School hosts the qualifying round for Wakestock UK 2010. In honour of the occasion, Tim Royle has resurrected some outtakes from our trips to Abu Dhabi for the first Wakestock of the year back in March, which should bring a smile to your face before heading down to JBSki in Thorpe to watch the qualifiers and also the first stop of the newly formed British Pro Tour. We'll be there chilling in the sun, so come and say hi.
